Master Bath – Bigger is not always better
Knowing how to properly use your space will make all the difference when designing with limited square footage. This master bath was not only limited on space, but the angled high ceiling made it an even more challenging space to work with. Keeping a light color palette made the room feel larger as well as created an inviting spa like space. Using stone with some color variation on the two large walls added texture and dimension to the transitional style bathroom. To hi-light the unusual ceiling, and create more space visually, we painted the ceiling and the other painted walls the same color. We were even able to create a separate toilet room and double vanity, both of which were requested by the client. By creating a sky light we were able to bring in more natural light, which could then pass into the shower through the clear shower glass. The dark cabinets and floor, added definition to the light space and complimented the light counter top. Custom candle niches near the tub completed this custom zen retreat.
